Ah, the holidays! They are so full of promise for warmth, joy, and connection with friends and family. Even though this is what we want, sometimes we can have a hard time finding it. Like when Thanksgiving is at your house and Uncle Albert isn’t speaking to Auntie Augustine but both would be very put out if you didn’t invite them. Or when your kids want something for Christmas but you’re not sure it’s right for them. Or (and this is a big one) you look at your checkbook and realize that what you wanted to give is out of your budget. Grrrr!
Is there one issue you would like to make peace with this coming holiday season? Come to Compassionate Communication for the Holidays and let's see if together, using these skills, we can get it sorted out. In this class, we'll learn how the pressure to have a perfect holiday often translates into criticism, judgment, and blame… and how to change it into a caring and connecting experience.
