Celebrate 10+ Years of Compassionate Communication

Dear Friends,

We happily invite you to celebrate 10+ years of bringing Compassionate Communication to Central Oregon with a good old fashion picnic in the park. Thousands of people, both in our community and at Deer Ridge Correctional Institution, have come to these classes. This work has been life changing and peace making for so many folks: The impact is impossible to calculate―and you have been part of it. We are so excited to celebrate this 10 year anniversary with you!

Our spot at Juniper Park is the picnic area between the outdoor swimming pool and the baseball field. Our day will officially start at 12:00 noon with a community gathering. Then it's food, games, and fun including corn hole, bacci ball, frisbee, and volleyball. We'll have a camera available for photo ops―and if you have some costumes or props you can bring, all the better.

This picnic is potluck style. The Center will be sponsoring various vegan and non-vegan casseroles to get the ball rolling. Please bring either a salad (if your last names starts with a letter from the first half of the alphabet) or fruit or a veggie dish (if you name fits in at the second half). Though it is an extra step, if you're willing to, please note the ingredients of your dish so those with allergies or special diets can know. Everyone is in charge of their refreshments (no alcohol, please) and whatever else they might personally enjoy. And of course, we'll have cake!!

There's a lot of shade in this area along with three long picnic tables. You may also wish to bring a blanket and camp chairs. Please bring your own plates, utensils, and drinking vessels so we can be kind to the environment.
