5-Week Class: Thursdays, April 6 - May 4; 6 - 8 p.m.

This CEU qualified course shows participants how to build trust, safety, and connection in the workplace. Because this communication style is extremely helpful when conflict and misunderstandings arise, participants will learn how to apply these skills in all kinds of work situations, and with patients and clients as well. Participants will quickly notice how these skills are also useful not only at work but in all aspects of their lives.

Nonviolent Communication has been endorsed by the Sanctuary Model© as an effective means of reducing the reactivity that results from judgmental communication which can then spill over into patient, client, student, and customer care.

Participants will:

  • Learn the neuroscience behind conflict;
  • Examine how we learn to use judgments and blame as a strategy to get needs met;
  • Learn about and practice NVC skills, and apply them to real life situations.

Facilitator: Denise Torres.
