2012 Accomplishments
The Center for Compassionate Living (CCL), formerly the Peace Center of Central Oregon, is an all-volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization of people committed to spreading Compassionate Communication and compatible teachings throughout our community and beyond.

The Center for Compassionate Living is celebrating its 6th anniversary. Look what we've done this year!

Administrative Milestones:

  • Filed appropriate tax forms and annual reports with IRS and the Oregon Department of Justice
  • Financial Report - have $6844.50 in the bank as of 12/31/12
  • Welcomed two new tenants sharing a room at the Center: Cassidy Mooney, Licensed Massage Therapist and Reiki Master/Teacher, and Michele Freeman, Transformational Life Therapist, EFT Master, Certified Sexual Wellness and BodyTalk Practitioner

  • Co-founder Bryn Hazell for being the inspiration and catalyst for creating CCL to spread Compassionate Communication throughout Central Oregon. Also for locating and leasing the CCL space and providing startup financial resources, for facilitating and supporting current practice groups, for starting new practice groups and for creating new classes which attract newcomers and help support the finances of CCL.
  • Co-founder Evelyn Doherty who retired from the Board in 2011, and continues to participate in 2 practice groups as co-facilitator as well as sponsor a one-day workshop March 31, 2012, bringing certified NVC trainer, LaShelle Lowe-Charde to Redmond.
  • Co-founder Beth Hanson who created and maintains our website, monthly newsletter, facilitates monthly CCLT meetings, provides agendas, flyers and presentation materials. Beth also facilitates a Hospice practice group and participates in the Redmond practice group.
  • Carol Delmonico for consistently creating new classes and workshops, for using NVC in her coaching practice, for facilitating and participating in practice groups, for consistent presence at CCL meetings and enthusiasm for growing CCL.
  • Sarah Mason for organizing the Friday night special events at the Center.
  • Lindsay Dycus for special projects and help with Facebook.
  • All those who support and participate in our classes, workshops, and practice groups.
