Passionate crusader and deep listener, Carol Delmonico is a nature loving, avid reader, crazy good laugher, and mother of two children who dubbed her a health nut early on.
With two degrees in health care under her belt she spent 18 years as an RN in a hospital setting. At 40 she wanted a change and embarked on an eclectic educational path. Life and Health Coaching, The Embodied Life, Laughter Yoga, Heartmath, and practicing and teaching Nonviolent Communication. She soaked up a lot. Here is the tip of the iceberg; vulnerability is her greatest strength, digestive health is key to vitality, what you pay attention to grows, and that a world where everyone is seen, heard and accepted is the world she intends to foster.
Carol is not only passionate about health and wholeness. As a first grader she won best costume (as a hippie) in a school wide competition and at age 9 began taking ukulele lessons after seeing Tiny Tim on TV. Her creative self-expression shows up in her reverence for the natural world, singing and dancing, writing poetry, and facilitating “sofa sessions” with friends. She’d be delighted to partner with you or your organization to move you from tired and overwhelmed to resilient and game on. Change is a given, engaging in it is a choice.

Denise has been deeply involved with Compassionate Communication (NVC) for over two years and now co-leads the Center for Compassionate Living with Bryn Hazell. She facilitates an introductory class to NVC as well as the 6 and 8 week courses. She also leads classes in Rick Hanson's book, "Buddha's Brain," being keenly interested in the interworkings of neuroscience, Buddhism, and NVC. Happily, she is now a volunteer at the Council on Aging with the caregiver's support group, hoping to bring an understanding of NVC to their members and to the group as a whole.

Facilitators of Compassionate Communication lead practice groups and encourage all participants who are interested in learning to facilitate. Committed to keeping the groups "alive" with CC consciousness and practices, they plan topics, exercises, and discussions that lead to a deeper understanding of each other's feelings and needs.
All are encouraged to become trainers and/or facilitators in our mission to spread Compassionate Communication throughout Central Oregon and beyond.
